The Board of Trustees is pleased to invite applicants for our CEO position. We are excited to identify the next leader for our innovative and growing school in Southwest Philadelphia.

lCS West is at an exciting juncture as it develops its middle school program, implements major facility improvements, and continues to grow and build on our strong instructional program and school community. Our unique approach to academic excellence, dual-language instruction, and cultivation of a global citizenship ethic has attracted a wide array of families to our school community.

The school is preparing to enter our fourth year serving students and families at 56th and Chester. The Board is inspired by our dedicated and talented faculty and staff, family participation in school events, active PTA, staff initiated after-school programming, and partnerships with programs such as the Vetri Community Partnership, KaBOOM!, and Playworks. Important tenets of our approach to education include the Responsive Classroom approach and trauma-informed practices.

ICS West was founded on an adaptation of the instructional program of Independence Charter School located in Center City. As an independent school, ICS West benefits from a collaborative relationship with Independence Charter.
