Join our community and give your child the foundation for lifelong success. Applications are now open for the upcoming school year.
Impact Charter School West enrolls students through an annual lottery process to make the process fair and equitable to all interested students and parents. Any student living in Philadelphia and entering grades K–8 is eligible to enter the lottery.
For a student to be eligible to attend kindergarten for the upcoming year, they must turn five by September 1st. All applications received by the lottery application deadline each year are entered into a drawing. Available spaces at the school are then filled in the order that the names are drawn in the lottery. For grades 1–8, the lottery is used to create a waiting list that will be used to fill spaces if current students transfer out of ICS West.
Impact Charter School West gives lottery preference to new students who already have a sibling enrolled in the school. Siblings must live in the same household and have the same legal parent/guardian. Families must submit a valid lottery application by the deadline to be eligible for sibling preference.
Being selected in a lottery and/or waitlist is only one step involved in enrolling as a student at ICS West. The next step involves submitting the required documents by the proper deadline or your child's spot will be forfeited. If you need assistance obtaining any of your child's documents, please contact us at enrollment@icswest.org and an Enrollment Specialist will be happy to assist you and work with your family through this process. At ICS West we strive to have all documentation received from families within 4 to 6 weeks after families have received their offer of enrollment.
Complete and submit the application with all required documents by the lottery deadline. Philadelphia residency is required.
Your child is entered into the enrollment lottery (kindergarten seats, waiting list for grades 1–3). You will receive your child’s lottery results by postcard or email.
If a space is offered, you’ll be contacted by phone to complete enrollment. Update your contact info regularly, and reapply each fall if not admitted.
